Simple Beet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 quart beet
    1 cup white vinegar
    1 cup white sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon powdered allspice
Preparation
    Cook beets (skins on and scrubbed), cool and peel.
    Prepare solution.
    Put beets in jars.
    Pour solution over beets.
    Seal jars.
