Annette'S Crispy Oatmeal Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 cup white sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup flour
    1 1/2 cups quick oats
    1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Cream together sugars, shortening, egg, salt, soda and vanilla.
    Blend in remaining ingredients. Dough will be stiff.
    Press into greased pan.
    Bake 20 - 25 minutes at 350\u00b0 in a 9 x 13 pan.
