Melon Balls With Rum And Lime - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 cup granulated sugar
    1/3 cup water
    1 teaspoon lime zest
    6 tablespoons fresh lime juice
    1/2 cup light rum
    2 quarts of assorted melon balls
    fresh mint leaves (to garnish)
Preparation
    In a small saucepan, mix the sugar and water.
    Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Add the grated lime peel and cool the mixture.
    Add the rum and lime juice.
    Pour syrup over the melon balls.
    Chill covered, for 3 to 5 hours.
