Banana Bread - cooking recipe

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large ripe bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time.
Sift flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
Mixing well, fold in mashed bananas, vanilla and nuts.
Pour into loaf pan.
Top with a sprinkling of granulated sugar.
Bake for 50-60 minutes.
