Spicy Chick-Peas And Rice - cooking recipe

1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cups long grain brown rice, cooked
1 (16 ounce) can chickpeas, drained
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (fresh)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Preparation

Saute the onion and garlic in olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until tender.
Stir in the cooked rice and the remaining ingredients. Cover the skillet, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
