Failsafe "Choc" Rice Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup failsafe margarine
    6 cups puffed rice cereal
    1/4 cup carob powder
    1/2 cup golden syrup
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine in a large saucepan, stir in syrup, brown sugar and carob powder.
    Bring to the boil for 3 minutes, then remove from stove and add the vanilla essence.
    Place the puffed rice in a large greased swiss roll pan (10x12inch). Pour mixture over the cereal and mix well. Spread smooth and pat firm.
    Chill until firm.
