German Oat Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 cups boiling water
    1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
    1 cup quick-cooking oats
    4 ounces German sweet chocolate
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 cup brown sugar
    3 eggs
    Topping
    6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
    1/4 cup light cream or 1/4 cup condensed milk
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1 cup chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine water, butter, oats, and chocolate; let sit 20 minutes.
    Sift together flour, soda, and salt.
    Add brown sugar, eggs, and oatmeal mixture to dry ingredients.
    Bake in a 9x13 inch pan for 25-35 minutes.
    Frost while hot with topping.
    Topping:
    Boil butter, cream, and brown sugar for 2-3 minutes; pour over warm cake.
    Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
