M&M'S Chocolate Marshmallow Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

Cookie
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup shortening
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup miniature M&M baking bits
1/2 cup large marshmallows
FROSTING
3/4 cup butter, softened
3 tablespoons water
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
additional miniature M&M baking bits

Preparation

For the cookie heat oven to 375\u00b0F
Grease baking sheets.
In a medium bowl sift together flour, baking soda, salt & cocoa.
In a large bowl cream together sugar & shortening, then add egg.
Add flour mixture and mix together.
Add vanilla, milk & mini baking bits. Mix together.
Drop onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 8 mininutes.
Top each cookie with a marshmallow. Bake 3 mins longer.
Remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool.
For the frosting, mix butter, water, confectioners sugar and cocoa powder until smooth.
Frost cookies, after cookies are frosted sprinkle with the additional \"M&M's\" Mini Baking Chocolate Bits.
