Ingredients

3/4 cup butter, softened (no substitutes)
1 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/4 cups old fashioned oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (10 ounce) package English toffee bits or (7 1/2 ounce) package almond brickle chips
Preparation

In mixing bowl, cream butter, and sugars.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Beat in vanilla.
Combine the flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Stir in toffee bits.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in.
apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 375 for 10-12 min.
or until golden brown.
Cool for 1 min.
before removing to wire racks.
