Squirrel'S Beanless Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lbs ground beef
    4 tablespoons olive oil or 4 tablespoons butter
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    2 tablespoons chili powder
    1 teaspoon thyme
    1 teaspoon oregano
    1 teaspoon basil
    1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies or (4 ounce) can roasted red peppers
    2 cups water
    1 (12 ounce) can beer
    salt and pepper or Tabasco sauce
Preparation
    Brown meat in olive oil or butter in a large pot.
    Add onion, bellpepper, and garlic to pan and cook until vegetables are soft.
    Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer uncovered for two hours, stirring occasionally.
