Greek Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lbs medium mushrooms
    1 cup water
    1 cup red wine vinegar
    1 cup olive oil
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 teaspoon crushed thyme
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    2 garlic cloves
    2 teaspoons salt
    12 peppercorns
Preparation
    Clean and trim mushrooms.
    Bring all ingredients (except mushrooms) to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.
    Add mushrooms and simmer 10 minutes.
    Cool. May be served at room temperature or reheated.
    Best if made a day ahead.
