Chinese Sweet And Sour Pungent Barbque Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tablespoons oil
    1/2 cup onion, minced
    1 teaspoon garlic, minced
    1/2 cup honey
    1/2 cup catsup
    1/4 cup red wine vinegar
    1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 teaspoon ginger
    1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
    2 2 tablespoons water or 2 tablespoons wine
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil until translucent.
    Add garlic stir until you can smell the garlic.
    Add all other ingredients EXCEPT sherry and corn starch.
    Simmer 15 minutes.
    Stir together corn starch and sherry.
    Add corn starch and sherry mix to other ingredients.
    Simmer until thick.
