Mary'S Frosted Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 ounce) packages lemon Jell-O gelatin
    2 cups boiling water
    2 cups 7-Up soda
    2 (8 ounce) cans crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice)
    2 large bananas, cut
    1 cup mini marshmallows
    Frosting
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon flour
    1 cup pineapple juice
    1 egg, beaten
    12 ounces Cool Whip
    nuts, chopped, to taste
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water, stir in 7up.
    When jello partially sets, stir in pineapple, banana and marshmallows.
    Frosting: Combine sugar, juice, beaten egg and flour in a sauce pan over medium heat until thickened. Mix in butter and chill slightly. Fold into cool whip and spread on top of jello. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
