Delicious Graham Apple Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup graham cracker crumbs
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
    1 cup milk or 1 cup half-and-half cream
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 cups chopped apples
    CRUMB TOPPING
    1/4 cup melted butter
    3/4 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Set oven to 350 degrees.
    For the topping: combine all ingredients; set aside.
    To make the cake: in a large bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
    Add in the butter or margarine (if using) and milk; beat at high speed for 2 minutes.
    Add in eggs; beat for another 2 minutes more.
    Spread batter in a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
    Sprinkle the chopped apples on top of the batter.
    Then sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the apples.
    Bake for 35-40 minutes.
