Ingredients

4 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 3/4 cups water
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325*.
Mix all ingredients together then turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead well. Roll dough out to a 1/2\" thick and cut out 8\" squares.
Place each square on a waffle irom (unplugged) and press down the dough in order to make the waffle impression.
Place waffles on a greased baking sheet and bake for 1 hour. cool and serve each waffle broken into quarters.
Store in an airtight container.
