Spinach And Garbanzo Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    4 garlic cloves, minced
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
    1 (14 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
    1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
    1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
    1 lb fresh spinach, washed and chopped
    4 scallions, chopped
    1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, cook bacon, onion and garlic over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until bacon renders its fat and onion begins to brown, 5 minutes.
    Add cumin and allspice, and cook, stirring, 1 minute.
    Add tomatoes and chicken broth, cook 5 minutes.
    Add garbanzo beans, spinach, scallions, worchestershire, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to low, cover and cook, 30 minutes.
