Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 pinch salt
2 tablespoons soft butter
1 cup milk
2 cups maple syrup
1 cup water
Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Slowly add milk into the mixture.
Boil maple syrup and water in a pot.
Put the dough into the boiling syrup, one tablespoon at a time (give the dough balls/\"grands-peres\" time to coagulate before adding more dough into the syrup).
Cover and let it cook at reduced heat for 10-15 minutes.
Serve on a plate with ice cream, if desired.
