Italian Mushroom Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 quarts chicken broth
    2 cups tomato juice
    2 cups chopped tomatoes
    1/2 cup pearl barley
    3 cups sliced mushrooms
    3/4 cup chopped carrot
    3/4 cup chopped onion
    2 teaspoons minced garlic
    1 teaspoon dried basil
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    salt and pepper
    sour cream (to garnish)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except salt, pepper and sour cream in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
    Season to taste with salt and pepper. Top each serving with a dollop of sour cream.
