Sneaky Momma'S Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 (28 ounce) cans tomatoes, drained
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 cup basil leaves, shredded
2 cups kale, shredded
1 large carrot
2 tablespoons parsley, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
Preparation

Heat oil over medium and saute onion and red pepper until soft, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and saute about 1 more minute.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, kale, carrot, parsley, oregano, thyme, and red pepper flakes.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to low and simmer for one hour.
Allow to cool slightly, then transfer to blender and blend until smooth.
Add sugar, salt, pepper and reheat if necessary before serving. Freezes well.
