Almond-Fried Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup butter
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 cup sliced almonds, toasted
    1 green pepper, chopped
    3 pork chops, smoked, thinly sliced
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste )
    4 cups cooked rice
    1 tablespoon sliced pimiento, drained and chopped
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    1/2 teaspoon sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter in a heavy skillet.
    Saute onion and green peppers until tender.
    Add pork, pepper, salt, soy sauce, almonds and rice.
    Simmer until pork is done and flavors are blended.
    Add pimentos just before serving.
