Applesauce Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
    2 eggs
    1 cup applesauce
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
    powdered sugar
    unsweetened cocoa
    1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Grease 9-inch pan.
    In large bowl, combine brown sugar, margarine and eggs; mix well.
    Stir in applesauce and vanilla; blend thoroughly.
    Stir in flour, 1/4 cup cocoa, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix well.
    Stir in nuts.
    Bake 25 to 35 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Cool in pan on wire rack.
    Just before serving, use foil strips to make striped design with powdered sugar, cocoa and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Cut into bars.
