Apple Butter Country Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lbs country-style pork ribs
    salt
    pepper
1 (14 ounce) jar apple butter
    1/2 cup water
    1/4 cup white vinegar
    3 tablespoons lemon juice
    2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
    1 teaspoon prepared mustard
    1/2 teaspoon sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon celery seed
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    1 dash red pepper (cayenne)
    1 dash ground cumin
Preparation
Place ribs in a large Dutch oven; add water to cover. Bring to a boil; cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 45 minutes or until tender. Drain well; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Combine apple butter and remaining ingredients in a saucepan; stir well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. (After the sauce has been simmering for about 10 minutes, get your fire ready on the grill!).
Coat the ribs generously with apple butter sauce. Grill the ribs over low coals (275 to 300 degrees -- make sure the fire isn't too hot or the sauce will burn!) for 45 minutes, turning about every 10 minutes. Baste frequently with the remaining apple butter sauce.
