Saffron Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup rice, uncooked
    2 cups boiling water
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    1/2 cup currants
    1/2 teaspoon curry powder
    1/4 teaspoon saffron thread
Preparation
    Saute onions in oil until golden.
    Add all other ingredients and simmer covered until all liquid is absorbed, about 12-15 minutes.
    Serve.
