Banana Walnut Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 teaspoon shortening, or as needed
    2 cups white sugar
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    3/4 cup baking cocoa
    1/2 cup melted butter
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1/4 cup dark cocoa
    2 eggs
    2 tablespoons water
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 ripe banana, sliced
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x12-inch baking pan with shortening.
    Mix sugar, flour, baking cocoa, butter, walnuts, dark cocoa, eggs, water, vanilla extract, and salt together in a bowl until batter is smooth. Pour the mixture into the baking pan; top with bananas.
    Bake in preheated oven until top is dry and edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 30 minutes.
