Zucchini Ribbons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large zucchini, halved and cut lengthwise into 1/8-inch thick slices
    4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
    1/2 clove garlic, minced, or more to taste
    6 leaves fresh basil, torn
    6 pinches salt
    4 pinches freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
    Combine zucchini slices, olive oil, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for 6 hours.
    Transfer everything including liquid to a large saucepan over high heat. Cover and cook until just tender, about 2 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon.
