Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup crisp rice cereal
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation

Cream margarine and sugar together. Without sifting add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Chill dough for 1/2 hour.
Shape into balls and press firmly with a fork. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 10 to 15 minutes at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
