Chef John'S Gremolata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1 pinch salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Stir parsley, olive oil, lemon zest, garlic, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl until well-combined.
