Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup quick cooking oats
1 cup vegetable oil
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup crisp rice cereal
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Mix all ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake until lightly brown.
