Ginger Liqueur - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 ounces fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
    1 1/2 cups water
    1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
    1 1/2 cups brandy
    1 cup white sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Preparation
    Blend ginger and water together in a blender until smooth.
    Strain orange juice through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl. Stir ginger-water mixture, brandy, sugar, and vanilla into the orange juice until the sugar dissolves completely.
    Refrigerate until cold, at least 20 minutes.
