Pot Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. shortening (not margarine or butter)
    1 medium egg
    water
Preparation
    Mix salt and flour and cut in shortening until mixed as fine as possible.
    Whip egg with fork in measuring cup.
    Add water to make 1 cup of liquid.
    Add to dry ingredients and mix well to moisten.
    Turn out on floured surface and knead about 10 times. Roll out to approximately 1/4-inch squares and drop into meat broth that is at the boiling stage.
    Takes about 20 minutes to reach that chewy delicious texture that is pot pie.
