Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium size cabbage, chopped
    1 can tomatoes
    6 c. water
    1 large onion, chopped
    salt and pepper
    mushrooms (optional)
    browned sausage, chopped, or hot dogs, sliced (optional)
Preparation
    In large pot, cook cabbage in water until tender.
    Add tomatoes, onion, salt and pepper to taste (the more pepper, the better the soup is), mushrooms and sausage or hot dogs.
    Cover; simmer for 20 minutes.
