Ingredients

1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. persimmon pulp
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Dissolve soda in persimmon pulp and set aside.
Sift together flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt.
Cream together margarine and sugar until fluffy, then beat in egg.
Stir dry ingredients and persimmon mixture into creamed mixture.
Stir in nuts and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Makes about 6 dozen.
