Golden Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. oil or yellow shortening (butter flavor)
1 1/2 c. yellow self-rising meal
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Heat oven to 450\u00b0. Grease an 8 or 9-inch square pan (muffin pan of 12 may be used). Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Add buttermilk. Stir in eggs. Add oil or shortening. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
