Cold Oven Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 sticks butter
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    3 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation
    Sift flour 5 times.
    Cream butter and shortening well and add sugar gradually.
    Add flour, small portions at a time alternately with milk and eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add lemon extract; turn into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
    Put in a cold oven.
    Light oven and set at 325\u00b0; bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
