Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, minced
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can beef gravy
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. cooked carrots
    1/2 c. cooked peas
    2 c. seasoned mashed potatoes
Preparation
    Brown onion lightly in shortening.
    Combine with beef gravy, beef, carrots and peas into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Spoon potatoes on top.
    Bake in very hot 450\u00b0 oven about 25 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned.
