Pear Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. raisins
    2 c. diced pears
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Sprinkle sugar over pears and let set until juicy.
    Stir in other ingredients until well blended.
    Pour in 9-inch square pan. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    May double and make in regular cake pan.
    Sprinkle powdered sugar or make a glaze.
