Apple-Nut Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. buttermilk or sour milk
    1 c. coarsely chopped (peeled or unpeeled) apples
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla or grated lemon rind
Preparation
    Cream the butter or margarine.
    Add sugar slowly and beat until light.
    Beat in eggs; sift the flour, salt, soda and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture alternating with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
    Stir in apples, nuts and vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
