Vinegar Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine ingredients and cook until mixture is brittle when dropped in cold water (270\u00b0).
    Pour onto buttered plates.
    Mark into squares while warm or roll into small balls.
    This is an excellent hard candy.
    An old time favorite.
