Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Karo syrup (white)
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 to 1 c. pecans
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
powdered sugar
Preparation

Cook sugar, syrup and water over medium heat until it forms hard ball or cracks in water (approximately 20 minutes).
Pour into stiff egg whites by thin stream and beat with mixer.
Remove and beat by hand until thick and dull.
Add vanilla and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper.
Let cool slightly.
Roll in powdered sugar.
Cool before storing in airtight container.
