Beef Bourguignon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. salt pork
    12 small white onions
    2 lb. round steak, cut into 2-inch cubes
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/8 tsp. marjoram
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 c. Burgundy
    1 c. beef bouillon
    8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
Preparation
    Render salt pork in saucepan.
    Add onions.
    Saute until brown. Add beef.
    Cook until brown.
    Sprinkle with flour, marjoram, thyme, salt and pepper; mix well.
    Stir in wine and bouillon. Simmer for 4 to 5 hours.
    Add mushrooms.
    Cook for 45 minutes longer.
    May reserve sauteed onions and add with mushrooms.
    May bake in oven at 250\u00b0 until done to taste.
    Serve with hot noodles, rice or small potatoes.
    Yield:
    6 servings.
