Old Fashioned Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium red potatoes, cubed
    1 qt. milk
    salt and pepper
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. flour
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/4 c. half and half
    1 small size onion, chopped fine
    1 Tbsp. grated carrot
Preparation
    Boil potatoes until soft and drain.
    Add milk and beat thoroughly.
    Season for taste.
    Work butter into flour.
    Add egg, milk, onion and grated carrot.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot milk.
    Cover saucepan and cook about 10 minutes on medium heat. Add half and half; stir to blend.
    Serves 4.
    Double the recipe for 8 servings.
