Homemade Chicken 'N' Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium whole stewing chicken
    3 c. self-rising flour
    2 1/2 tsp. Crisco
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Boil chicken until cooked thoroughly.
    When done, debone chicken and place back in broth (if broth level is low add 1 to 2 cups of water).
    Set aside.
    In a large mixing bowl combine flour and Crisco, mix and cut until in small lumps.
    Add milk and mix well.
    Bring broth to boil.
    Meanwhile, roll out dough on a bed of flour until thin.
    Cut into small squares and place squares into boiling broth.
    Stir and cook for 20 minutes.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
