Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. frying chicken
2 onions, chopped
5 Tbsp. olive or salad oil
1/3 c. flour
1 to 2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 can large tomatoes
1 c. sliced mushrooms
1 large green pepper
salt and pepper
Preparation

Cut chicken into serving portions.
Season with salt and pepper; roll lightly in flour.
Heat oil in skillet and brown chicken lightly on both sides, about 10 minutes.
Seed and place green pepper lengthwise.
Mix with chopped onion, chopped garlic and tomatoes.
Add this to chicken.
Cover and simmer until chicken is tender.
Add sliced mushrooms; simmer for about 15 minutes more.
Remove chicken to large platter; pour sauce over chicken.
Serve immediately.
Serves 4 generous portions.
