Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large Vidalia onions
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    20 Ritz crackers, crumbled
Preparation
    Peel and slice onions into thin rings.
    Saute in butter until limp or opaque.
    Pour half of buttered onions into 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
    Cover with half of Parmesan cheese and half of crumbled crackers.
    Repeat layers, ending with layer of crumbled crackers and bake, uncovered, at 325\u00b0 until golden brown, about 30 minutes.
