Cheese Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    2 c. flour
    2 c. rice cereal
Preparation
    Combine cheese, butter, salt and pepper in mixing bowl.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add flour and cereal; mix with wooden spoon.
    Shape into 1-inch balls.
    Place 2-inches apart on baking sheet.
    Flatten with a fork.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until edges are brown.
    Remove to wire rack to cool.
    Yield:
    6 dozen.
