Boston Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. raisins
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. oil
    2 eggs
    pinch of salt
    4 c. plain flour
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Boil water, raisins and baking soda for 2 minutes. Set aside and let cool. Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs, salt, flour and nuts. Mix together with raisin mixture. Bake in 6 well-greased cans (cans are No. 2 size, like English peas, corn, etc.). Fill cans half full. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 55 minutes.
