Aunt Stell'S New Mexican Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. each: coarsely ground or cut in 1/2-inch cubes beef and pork
    3 medium to large, chopped onions
    3 stalks chopped celery
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 to 1 tsp. cumin
    1/2 to 1 tsp. dried hot chili peppers (for milder chili, use chili powder for cumin and peppers)
Preparation
    Cook all this until browned well, then simmer, covered, for 30 minutes for maximum tenderness.
    Add water as needed so not to cook dry.
