Corn Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 ears sweet corn
1/2 gal. milk
2 c. potatoes (bite-size)
1/4 c. chopped onion
salt and pepper
Preparation

Remove corn from cobs.
Place cobs in large soup pot.
Cover with 1/2 gallon of milk.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 2 hours.
Remove cobs from milk.
Cool enough to handle.
With back of spoon, scrape corn cobs.
Discard cobs.
Pour scrapings along with fresh corn, potatoes and onion in milk.
Cook until potatoes are tender.
Salt and pepper to taste.
