Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    8 slices white bread (no crust)
    4 Tbsp. softened butter
    1/2 c. raisins
    3 eggs
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Heat milk to boiling point.
    Stir in vanilla and butter.
    Place each slice of bread in a 1 1/2-quart dish face in the bowl.
    Beat eggs, sugar and salt gradually.
    Stir in scalded milk.
    Pour over bread.
    Let stand 30 minutes.
    Sprinkle nutmeg.
    Place in pan of hot water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until is solid, 50 minutes.
