Butter Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. milk
    3/4 c. Crisco, melted
    1 stick butter
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Stir milk into the 2 cups flour, mixing well.
    Add melted shortening.
    Knead in enough flour to make a soft biscuit dough. Roll out biscuit dough to 1/2-inch or less thickness.
    Mix 2 tablespoons flour, sugar, butter and vanilla together and spread on biscuit dough.
    Roll up jelly roll style and place in a cake pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
    Cover with hot water.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
